Most creatures in this universe are born to traverse the three dimensions of space freely, moving through them as they please, so long as they are left justly unrestricted. The fourth dimension, time, has however proven itself more challenging to navigate, and most beings are only able to pass through it in one direction, at a constant pace. Imagine, for a moment, that the temporal planes of years and hours lent themselves to free movement as readily as the physical realms of land and water. You cannot. Alas, we are but linear creatures.
